It was a bit of a surreal situation. We were standing a few feet away when Steve suggested he wanted to buy me one of the £30 Petty shirts. I rolled my eyes and said "I am not spending THAT MUCH on a t-shirt unless I get a 100% guarantee I can get his autograph!". A little background info on all this, Steve and I decided not to autograph hunt this year and just relax and enjoy the show at a leisurely pace. We were walking away when Steve stopped in his tracked, eyes wide and pointed over my shoulder "But...isn’t that him?" And sure enough! I turn around and not even 10 feet away, Richard was standing there started to take autographs. It was meant to be, I guess! So! Steve got me a shirt, and Richard signed it a couple of moments later. It was way cool!
