Sure, you can buy a kit to turn your Camaro into a ’57 Chevy. But just because you can doesn’t mean you should! While beauty is truly in the eye of the beholder, oftentimes we see the many abominations plaguing this world around us and simply wonder, why? What is it that makes people think that combining two wholly unique, entirely different things together might make them better? Sure, you can engineer an apple/orange hybrid, but why? Which is a perfect synonym for this, uh, interesting “hybrid” 1957 Chevy and fourth-gen Camaro we spotted on Craigslist. Now, the concept of meshing an old car with a new one is nothing earth shattering in and of itself. But to graft the iconic ’57 Chevy front and rear ends on a car with completely different proportions makes little to no sense. However, it’s apparently popular enough that you can actually buy a conversion kit dubbed the “Belaro” for the low, low price of only $5,595! It’s kinda like the old saying goes, however. Just because you can doesn’t mean you should. After all, we love ’57 Chevys, and we love the fourth-gen Camaro. And we totally understand that obtaining a real ’57 is out of reach for most folks. So you can’t blame the creator of the Belaro for doing the American thing and aiming to fill that market gap. But you can certainly rail on anyone who thinks that this unholy creation is cool in any way, shape, or form. #gallery-3 { margin: auto; } #gallery-3 .gallery-item { float: left; margin-top: 10px; text-align: center; width: 50%; } #gallery-3 img { border: 2px solid #cfcfcf; } #gallery-3 .gallery-caption { margin-left: 0; } /* see gallery_shortcode() in wp-includes/media.php */ <br style="clear: both" />
