1000hp LSx

Nice numbers for a 376 :) I certainly want to go that route if I get the funds. A supercharged 383ci ls1 keeping the same ecu.

I wanted more cubes, but not going too big, you can get 413ci LS1 blocks, but they tend to be iron as bored out quite a lot.
If i do go for it, it will be a new LS1 block, with forged internals, the right pistons for FI. and cam for it too. but its probably all a dream. I was once offered a Whipple supercharger but saw it being too much hassle to fit back in 2004, as it wasn't specifically made for the LS1. The one in this article does look nice too, that particular one will rise too high to get under the windshield.

It was the choice of stroker that was surprising me. Typically a stroker produces more HP (through revs) but lower torque, but with FI you would normally build a higher torque engine and add HP via the FI - or am I wrong?

Where it would be a new block, you can choose the diameter of the pistons. I can't recall the website at the mo they had them listed, but i think it was the same stroke, just slightly bigger bore 4.1", I may have got the ci wrong, but it was around 383.
I'm sure many decisions will arise before I spend the readies. Deeper research will be needed.
