1928 Studebaker big 6 commander, with the original 354cu in (5.8litre) 6 cylinder side valve engine and 3 speed gearbox. <br />

Originally imported from Florida, this large, impressive sedan is UK registered. <br />

The body is dark blue and black and presents well with a few age related marks. It has the "Atalanta" mascot and the rare "World Champion Commander" badge. This relates to the speed records set in 1928 where three of these commanders covered a combined distance of 25,000 miles in 23,000 minutes. The interior is in dark brown with wood effect steel window surrounds etc . Newly chromed headlights, sidelights and radiator surround, it would benefit from the rear bumpers being rechromed.<br />

It has original wooden spoked wheels, with good tyres, which are currently painted,as original but could be stripped and varnished.<br />
<br />
There are a few small tinkering jobs such as fitting door check straps, and new rubber for the running boards.<br />
<br />
I have a second original style rear light, but the new owner will need to make a mounting bracket.<br />
<br />
Being a large prewar car this would lend itself to being used for weddings etc.<br />
