1936 Cadillac Fleetwood 70 series Rumble Seat Sport Coupe.

Chances are you will never see another one of these. This was one of the most prestigious cars the wealthy could buy in 1936 with incredibly low production figures.

The Fleetwood arm of General Motors would take a chassis from the production line and build special bodies to order for discerning customers.

Only 53 of these V8 engined 70 series Sport Coupes were built and only around 6 are known Worldwide in USA Cadillac club.

It beggars belief that someone would purchase such a large car with just two seats which I guess accounts for the low production and it really is a very large car.

Wheelbase is 131 inches. The car stands 6 feet tall and is 17 feet 6 inches long.
5.600cc side valve V8. 346ci displacement. The engine fitted is from a 1947 Cadillac but of the correct configuration. A great advantage that Cadillac used the same engine for over 10 years and parts are plentiful.

This car has Gone through a very long term body off Nut and Bolt restoration starting in 1989 and was only completed in 2013.
It took "Best in Class" at the Pre50AAC nationals at Blenheim Palace 1st time out and draws crowds wherever it go"s
Even the underside floor finish is as good as the body.

In my 18 years of ownership I have only seen two offered up for sale in the US. One was completely unrestored at $36,000 and the other close to $100.000 in fully restored condition.. The exchange rate today makes it prohibitive to import these cars now so one already here is a great deal.

This is a once in a lifetime opportunity as this car has never before been offered for sale in the UK.
Its a very reluctant sale but I just can"t drive them all and she doesn"t get used enough.
MOT and TAX exempt and V5 in my name.

Viewing anytime. Thanks for looking.
