The 37 Buick Coupe is without doubt one of the most impressive US Automotive designs from the late 1930 s. This particular model was one of the first creations of legendary GM designer Harley Earl and is a most stylish and fabulous looking car. The prescence, build quality, luxury and power offered by Buick at this time was phenomenal and these cars have gone down in history as being one of the true greats of the art-deco period.<br />

The car has just arrived fresh from Southern California this week and has the most astonishing body. Incredibly, it is still wearing its original black coachwork from 1937. It is the most genuine example you could ever hope to find. It has no rot, no accident damage, and no dents sustained in its 80 year history ....probably our best antique Buick find of the decade. This car has not been cosmetically restored and presents amazingly original with evidence of paint touch-ins only. Bumpers are original with no dents or evidence of ever having been re-chromed.<br />

Mechanicals;<br />
Now this is where it gets even more interesting, because in recent years the Buick has received a full mechanical rebuild and has been sympathetically upgraded to enable total reliability and successful participation in classic rally events. The original 248ci Dynaflash straight 8 has been fully rebuilt with new pistons, bearings, gaskets, seals etc and has been complimented with a professional 12volt conversion, Electronic ignition, Hi-Torque aluminium starter-motor, an Alternator (encased in a dynamo housing), Edelbrock 4 barrel carburetter, heated seats and a rev counter. It also benefits from a perfect rebuilt original 3 speed floor transmission, new clutch, rebuilt axle, brakes and steering making this one of the best driving 37 Buicks you will ever find. This is quite simply an incredible car that really should be used and enjoyed. <br />

Interior;<br />
Completely original and unrestored with the exception of the seat which has been re-upholstered in the original broad-cloth. Incredibly the car still has its original headlining and door cards with no rips or tares! All gauges work correctly and the time clock has been sympathetically replaced with a period looking rev counter. Original Banjo steering wheel is in fabulous condition too.<br />

All in all this is a fantastic and most unrepeatable car. It was hand-picked by us on the ground in California and has not seen any UK wet weather or salt. If you are looking for a stunning Buick to drive or display, this would be very hard to beat. And of course it is a rare and super-stylish 2-door coupe to boot! <br />
