RARE 1948 DESOTO NEW YORK TAXI!!<br />

Our stunning 1948 Desoto is for sale. She starts, runs and drives beautifully, and she"s a serious head turner!<br />
The fluid drive transmission is smooth and quiet.<br />
Head lights, side lights, brake lights, indicators and licence plate light fully working. All gauges, lights and map lights work perfectly. <br />
Exterior paint is excellent; chrome is bright; interior is excellent.<br />
New temperature gauge fitted. <br />
Original radio still works.<br />

NEW REPLACEMENTS:<br />
Brake master cylinder, brake wheel cylinders, fuel lines, plugs points, condenser and electric fuel pump all brand new.<br />

I am only the third owner of the car and have all the original documentation and receipts from the cars first owner, purchased in New York in 1948.<br />
<br />
I painted the car in New York Taxi colours on arrival in the UK and have been using the car for Weddings and Proms. I am selling the car due to a change in circumstances, and do not have anywhere to keep her anymore. She is a real eye catcher and attracts plenty of attention wherever she goes.<br />

1940s Desoto"s are very rare cars, but spare parts are readily available. Desoto were part of the Chrysler corporation and there is a mass of "new, old" stock and aftermarket parts. <br />
<br />
