This is the stunning top of the range flagship offering from Buick in 1949. Featuring the fabulous "Million-dollar wide smile" grill and wonderful Bombsight mascot, the 49 Buick is widely regarded as one of the best looking cars to emerge from the Fabulous Forties. The US public went crazy for Buick"s first all new post-war body style and demand for this model was so high production was scaled up from 2 manufacturing plants to an incredible 5. Just arrived fresh from desert dry Southern California, this is a beautiful original collectable Roadmaster presented in completely stock condition.<br />

Stunning looking example in solid black with beautifully straight and rust free bumpers. All chromework is very bright and that stunning grill is in absolutely perfect condition. There is not one broken or missing badge from this car. All stainless body mouldings are in lovely condition and the gorgeous Buick hubcaps with stainless beauty rings and white white wall tyres look fantastic. Paintwork is older but very presentable with a good shine and the car looks a real knockout on the eye. Come and see!<br />

This is a proper hard to find dry desert-State car and a genuine lifelong Los Angeles area survivor. It is completely rust free with rock solid perfect original underside. All body-mounts, inner sills, floor pans and trunk floor are absolutely perfect and completely rot free. This car has NEVER had any welding, and is guaranteed structurally superb. The body is completely rot free and very straight. It has not sustained any accidents in its almost 70 year history, only a couple of small dings that we can easily rectify in our bodyshop if required. <br />

Beautiful Grey Bedford cloth interior with perfect headlining and excellent original doorcards. Lovely unmarked black carpets. Dash is in stunning original condition and was a real luxury appointment in 49. Grey interior looks absolutely beautiful in completely original condition. All instruments and gauges on that gorgeous dash work great, fuel gauge is typically erratic! All glass is in great condition too with no de-lamination or cracks, no rock-chips or wiper scratches. Boot is immaculately trimmed with correct spare wheel and white wall tyre, with full Carcraft cover too.<br />

Mechanicals<br />

This Buick is off the button, and it runs and drives well. Original 320ci big series Straight 8 runs sweet with excellent power with great oil pressure. Dynaflow automatic is smooth and very easy to live with. Recent exhaust, tyres, battery, engine was rebuilt approx 2005. These cars are wonderful to use and perform so much better than most other offerings from the 1940"s. <br />
