Beautiful, unmolested car with the newly introduced for 1953,322cubic inch 5300c.c. V8 "Nailhead" of 170bhp.<br />
This car was purchased by 2 close friends, whilst at Hershey<br />
in 2014, for their personal enjoyment.Unfortunately, the<br />
more enthusiastic of them, suddenly passed away this December<br />
and I purchased the car from his estate.Unfortunately, apart from the V5C (which is in my name and possession) the accompnting paperwork is yet to be unearthed by the family, but which will be passed to the ultimate buyer.<br />
Attracted by it"s overall condition and apparent very low <br />
miles of just over 40000 miles,my chums imported the car in<br />
December 2014.<br />
The car was reputedly displayed in a private museum for an, as yet unknown, period of time before it"s being offered for sale.<br />
The car has an older repaint, in it"s original Cream over Green, aside from which the bodywork being in remarkable and original condition.Chromework is good, the interior is exceptional, with virtually unmarked seats and door cards, and having quality replacement carpet and rugs to the original pattern.All gauges work as they should.The timeclock is currently not working.The underbonnet is very clean and the engine appears leakfree and starts immediately with excellent oil pressure, and runs quietly.The Dynaflow transmission selects and functions perfectly.Steering and brakes are first class, although the steering wheel is annoyingly not pointing in the ahead position!Batteries and tyres have all been replaced in the last 12 months.<br />
Some side window rubbers are suffering from sun exposure and could do with replacement and the single exhaust tailpipe, from close inspection, has the odd pinhole, but this in inaudible.<br />
If you are looking for a remarkably well preserved 1950"s car, of any country origin, I think you would be hard pushed to find one as excellent as this.<br />
