Very solid and straight panel van with no rot or repairs anywhere. Must have lead a really quiet life as the interior shows the original paint and floor. Door bottoms, wing edges and corners, sills, running boards, and underneath are clean and straight. New door seals and rubbers with new window channels make the drive quiet and rattle free.<br />
Running a recently rebuilt 1970 s 250 cu. in. straight 6 with a TH350 automatic and high ratio 10 bolt rear axle means a smooth and effortless drive with the original and surprisingly light steering. The engine is still running in, with unleaded valve seats, new bearings, pistons, and balanced bottom end. I ve also recently fitted a front disc brake and servo kit. It has Classic Instruments dials in an uncut dash.<br />
The vehicle was imported in 2011 with the paintwork already rubbed down. The previous owner hadn t done anything and I was unsure which direction to take so I ran my sander lightly over the body and gave it a thin coat of clear lacquer, just to protect what was there. 2 years later it is still holding up well. No dodgy filler under a rubbish paint job to worry about- you can even see the original lead loaded panel joints.<br />
I ve just bought another Chevy so sadly this one has to find a new owner.<br />
