Some times when people build a truck, car or Hot Rod they just get it right, this 1955 Ford F100 Step Side is one of those, from the way it sits to the way it sounds, its just well, right .
Built in the States and shipped here to the UK in 2014, it had a previous owner before its current owner. Between them the took it up another notch, nothing particularly major as it was already a lovely truck, just added some more finishing touches like the newly fully refurbished interior including the bench seat with Bentley style stitching, new carpets and sun visors plus a full alloy billet accessory pack . There is also a fully working heater and hidden 4 speaker stereo, attached along with the 5 clock Dolphin billet gauges and all the other electrics, to a new wiring loom.
Under the hood, which is as clean as the rest of the body work is the favoured choice, a 350 Small Block Chevy lump with Edelbrock intake manifold and new 1406 electric choke carb, Mallory ignition, exhaust headers attached to a bespoke, hand crafted, exhaust system and a tasteful alloy billet dress up kit. You will also note the power steering and power brakes that are fitted. Gearbox wise and again probably the first choice, is a TH350 Hydromatic unit with everything being held in place by a 70 s G.M. independent front suspension clip with new front shocks and springs. Connected up the back to a 9 inch Ford back axle and new rear shocks. The alloy wheels with 234/45/R18 fronts and 255/45/R20 tyres are new and are Chevrolet stud pattern all round.
The body work is superb having had some major work carried out prior to paint including things like wide rear arches with wide inner arches as well, wide running boards, push button door openers, custom tail gate and roll pan, frenched aerial, electric opening front air vent, blue dot front lights, and a handmade authentic Oak wood storage box just to give it that last finishing touch.
On sale on behalf of its owner at a fraction of what it would cost to build and described as Turnkey and ready to go and as we already said Just a lovely thing .
