A rare chance to buy a very original 1956 Ford F100 Custom Cab pickup truck. Distinguished from other mid-50 F100"s (52-55), the 56 has the wrap screen and squared off doors, this is an original 292ci Y block V8 with a 3 speed manual gearbox in excellent running condition.<br />

All of the head, side lights, and indicators, gauges (not sure on water temp but have a new sender provided anyway), wipers, emergency brake, heater and blower (!!) work - the truck also has new tyres, exhaust and battery. To find all of this working on a 60 year truck is credit to the previous owners and build quality of these great trucks.<br />

The bodywork is rot free, some surface rust (referred to as ""patina"" by some...) as is to be expected, but nothing to worry about, the chassis is clean (front half has been primered), wheels are original Ford steels with chrome hubcaps and trim rings. The windshield has the very rare SS trim, and carries Custom Cab door logos, please note the front V8 badge is missing....<br />

Windows are all present, not cracked or damaged, and the door glasses wind up and down. Trim rubbers and glass runners will need replacing as will door seals but these are all readily available from numerous US based truck sites, I can advise buyer on where to find them.<br />

Interior is original, nothing fancy, but this is how they came.<br />

Either paint it and put some carpet in and you have a great little truck, perfect for bringing back to original condition, or an excellent base for a street rod or custom truck.<br />

Truck is ready to register in the UK, all import duties have been paid, NOVA notification in hand confirming, no tax or MOT required, cost to register is 55 - I can help buyer with the V55/5 process if required.<br />
