1957 Bel Air Convertible

This is a genuinely rare opportunity to acquire one of the most iconic and desirable classic cars. Probably the most desirable American 1950s car of all.

This is a mostly complete running and driving car in need of full restoration or resto-rod.

If you know what you are looking at then you will know that literally ALL parts are available for these off the shelf.

If you are considering one of these cars then I think you need to look at either a done car which is $100,000 or more for a good one or a project like this. If you buy an OK ish example for $50,000 that is tired you might as well just buy this car and start it as a clean sheet doing it up as you would like it to be. If the work on this car is done to a high standard then it represents an economically viable restoration. Sadly that is not the case with very many other American classics.

It will need structural work like new floors which is normal for a convertible tri five. It"s not a wreck though by any means but it will require a frame off restoration to do it justice.

Price includes a new bumper which is missing and delivery anywhere in mainland UK. This is a rare three speed manual. The engine is a more recent small block 350 CI 5.7 Chevy V8. It runs off a can currently. It all wants ripping out for the restoration...

I can help with shipping parts for free if you buy it. I also have a friend with a 57 convertible rat rod. He would like to buy some parts off this if you are going down the replacement route.

Will be supplied with NOVA and Title.

Part exchange MAY be possible but please be realistic. Reasonable offers invited. I have already turned down 20k but that was getting close...

Is available now in the UK.
