1962 Ford Galaxie 500<br />
Engine:<br />
390 big block <br />
3 speed cruise-o-matic trans (rebuilt & resealed in 2011 with receipts)<br />
Holley 650 double barrel carb<br />
Mallory optical distributor (no more points)<br />
Moroso wire & autolite plugs<br />
Holley high flow fuel pump with anti drain back valve<br />
2 into 1 mild Flowmaster muffler<br />
Generator converted to alternator<br />
Interior:<br />
Rolled & pleated black & white vinyl seats & door panels with all white roof<br />
Sony CD/MP3 player, hidden 4 front speakers & JL audio 6x9 s on rear deck<br />

Glove box liner replaced<br />

Exterior:<br />
Was repainted black a while back but the clear coat is peeling top half<br />
Body not perfect but solid<br />
People really dig the distressed look against the chrome & wheels<br />
Front & rear bumpers re-chromed<br />
Wheels are chrome staggered American Racing Nova 18x9 front, 20x10 rear with matching Sumitomo performance tires<br />
They have an awesome deep lip and look killer from behind<br />
Suspension:<br />
Full air ride suspension with Fox Air Ride Technologies front air struts & bag over leaf spring on the rear. This is an extremely reliable set up. valves all round. The front is reduced to line for easier levelling but the rear is full for showing off!<br />
2 viair compressors installed in trunk to a 5 gallon tank.<br />
Lower ball joints and upper control arm bushings were replaced 2016<br />

UPDATE: The car is now in the UK, has a full 12 months MOT with no advisories, I have the UK V5c document all correct and have fitted in-keeping american style plates with its new UK registration number.<br />
As with all american cars, they don"t have anywhere near as stringent testing as an MOT, therefor my local garage has gone through the car and sorted out the issues and niggles that it"s collected over the years, the car is now a reliable driver ready to roll.<br />
The car is 55 years old with drum breaks and no power steering, which at first seems a hand-full but once you get used to it, its surprising easy and you soon adapt. <br />
Make no mistake, it"s a big car and gets a lot of attention everywhere it goes, come take a look and a drive - you need to see this in the flesh to truly appreciate how cool it is !!!<br />
