PRICE REDUCED AGAIN! This car has had well in excess of 50k spent on race preparation including a newly rebuilt 445cui engine, yet to be fully run in. Currently not FIA but prepared and correct for CSCC series, with additional sets of 17in wheels and tyres for other series including 750MC, Bernies V8s, SRGT, Sprint and Street use!<br />
Started off as a solid import road car and then spent the past 3 years in various states of preparation including cutting out all rust and suspect repairs, letting in new steel incl original remanufactured panels where required, stripping out the interior and repanelling in alloy sheet to race spec, fitted made to measure bolt in roll cage, racing seats/harnesses for driver and navigator (can be removed), plumbed in 4 kg fire system, custom made 80ltr foam filled safety fuel tank, dual circuit Wilwood brakes , proportioning valve and servo, discs all round (currently on 15in wheels and brand new Avons), Mcleod RXT racing clutch, rebuilt 4 speed gearbox,heavy duty custom made prop and safety loop, new instruments/ facia, heavy duty front shocks, custom Eaton springs, steering upgrades, custom made racing front swaybar, rare period rear swaybar, Hooker headers, side exhausts to 105db.<br />
The engine:<br />
Totally rebuilt by Thunder Road Cars in conjunction with ICE engineering using the best possible components including:<br />
Original 390FE block, bored and stroked to 445cu (7500cc), line bored, pressure tested, oil ways optimised, Scat forged steel crank, "H" beam rods, Mahle Pistons giving 11.1:1 compression with Edelbrock Alloy Heads. Comp Cams "Magnum"cam, mechanical flat tappets, Harland Sharp roller rockers, all ARP High tensile bolts and studs, Holley 4150 carb, Edelbrock inlet. Msd with rev limiter, contactless dizzy, custom made extra capacity sump, oil cooling system, Dyno sheets available showing 527ftlbs of torque at 3900rpm and 436hp at 5300rpm. Subsequently tuned on the rolling road by John Sleath and ready to race. Also is MOTd (tax free) and can be driven quite normally on the road.<br />
