For sale is my 1964 Ford Galaxie 500, Its a 4 door hardtop in wimbledon white with red interior. The engine is a FE 352 cubic inch 5.8 litre V8 with a Ford cruise-o-matic auto transmission (column change).<br />

It was fully UK registered last december and has british number plates. MOT until november 2017 and its tax free.<br />
<br />
The car required work for the dreaded MOT which included: new brake lines, flexi hoses, shock absorbers and a bit of welding in the passenger foot well. <br />
<br />
The V8 runs very smooth with an edelbrock 600 cfm carb and the transmission shifts nicely too. The driving and the handling are very typical for a car this size. Its very floaty and boat-like which i rather like! It can easily carry 6 people (9 including the boot!) as it has a bench in the front.<br />

The car has power steering, manual drum brakes, air conditioning (not connected) and a couple of ashtrays...Thats about it really, a very simple car with lots of character.<br />

The car still runs on leaded fuel so you will need to put in an additive every time you fill up. <br />
<br />
This car is not a rusty wreck nor is it a trailer queen, its a useable cruiser that needs prettying up or leave it as is and just enjoy it.<br />
<br />
The interior needs work, The Texas heat has torn the rear bench seat where it meets the parcel shelf and the front bench has a tear on the drivers side. Also carpet is missing in the front as it had completely perished.<br />
<br />
The body work is straight enough with only a ding in the rear bumper and rear quarter. Chrome is pitting but perfectly restorable. No keys for the door locks and the boot lock is missing completely for some reason. <br />
<br />
Basically, its a good all rounder with original patina, loads of character and is perfectly usable. Very rare to see a 4 door hardtop "64 galaxie in the states never mind here in the UK.<br />
