1964 Ford Thunderbird Convertible. 390 Cubic Inch, 6.4 V8 Auto. (Same Model As Appeared In "Thelma & Louise"). This vehicle is from a private collection and has been stored indoors since 2009. It will therefore require a check over and MOT before returning to the road. I have taken as many pictures as possible and uploaded two videos to Youtube so the roof can be seen in operation and the engine heard running.<br />
Body & paint are remarkable for a 52 year old car! Has clearly had lots of money spent in the past. The colour is a lovely pearlescent white. Black convertible power roof also in excellent condition, would appear to be fairly new, and it goes up and down as it should (but as you"d expect it"s slow!) Headlamps, indicators & horn don"t work. Driver"s door bottom starting to bubble. Interior has room for improvement...carpets are nice, seats have the odd split here and there, power seats try to work but seem to get stuck... nearside windows don"t work but as far as I can see most other things work. This model has the fold away steering column. Engine starts immediately and settles to a nice idle. Sounds beautiful. Exhausts have a slight blow somewhere near the front (when cold). Brakes & steering superb. Chrome & glass all perfect! <br />
Engine bay all nice and tidy (same colour as body) with a few chrome dress up items. 18" chrome wheels with excellent Dunlop tyres.<br />
In summary this is a very presentable example, which attracts a lot of admiration - with room for improvement. Spend some time and money and it may well realistically worth double this asking price.<br />
