Why Not Classics is thrilled to offer you this absolutely gorgeous 1965 Ford Mustang GT Fastback, finished in its factory correct Wimbledon White (code M ) wrapped around a gorgeous factory correct black vinyl (code 26) interior. The 1965 Ford Mustang Fastback is certainly one of the most iconic cars. This beautiful example is a pony that underwent a complete frame off restoration with only 2,000 miles on the clock since it was restored.
When you open the driver"s door and slide into the perfect & factory correct black bucket seats interior you can"t help but feel like it"s 1965 all over again ! All of the gauges, lights, blinkers, etc. work perfectly.
Open the hood and nestled inside the beautiful detailed engine bay you will find what we believe is the original 289 A code (per GT) rebuilt and linked to a 4 speed manual transmission (top loader). This is matching numbers car and the color scheme is as per data plate. It features disc brakes, which a very nice safety enhancement from the original drum breaks. The original AM-FM radio and rally wheels with redline radial tires.
The underside is clean as the top and it looks the same as it did in 1965 when it left the Dearborn factory. Every nut, every bolt, every part was careful removed and restored or replaced with NOS.
She starts, idles, runs, drives & performs beautifully in every way, and is an absolute BLAST to drive! This pony has plenty of power & torque, and the manual transmission shifts precisely throughout the gears! On the freeway the Mustang drives straight & true, with no issues whatsoever. Driving around town, you better be ready for attention because this gorgeous 1965 Mustang Fastback GT draws a crowd everywhere it goes!
