I am the 3rd UK owner & according to the previous owner the car had one owner in the USA prior to being imported.<br />
The car starts & drives as it should & it had the gearbox overhauled in June. <br />
The car is in good solid original condition. The original paint work requires attention if your bothered by it. I preferred to see it in its 51 year old original unrestored/patina condition which is why I never had it done. The roof has the worst of it.<br />
There is a chip in the windscrean which I have been told has been there since the 1990"s & hasn"t got any worse. The seats have some rips to them, it"s mostly the drivers seat though & the drivers door handle has some ware as do the carpets. Another thing that the car has had since the 1990"s is that it doesn"t always stay in PARK, I was told by the AMC club that it can be one of two things, ware to the latch in the stealing column or the spring in the gearbox. The box has been overhauled & the spring is good & working so it has to be the column. This has never bothered me as I just put the car in neutral & apply the hand break which is why I haven"t got around to looking at it.<br />
This car is an ideal first Classic American car.<br />
