Direct from Arizona and just arrived is this rather cool 1966 Ford F100. Its bog standard, running a straight six and 4 speed manual box, and looks to be in pretty decent condition all round.
As far as we can tell its been a desert truck most of its life, as there"s very little rust to speak of. The front of the pick up bed (where it meets the front panel) needs repair, as is the norm for this era truck with steel bed floors, and there"s a bit in one part of the cab footwell, about 3" along a seam, but both simple repairs and wouldn"t stop you using the truck. Otherwise all the sheetmetal and chassis appears to be rust free. The body carries a few dings and scrapes as you"d expect from a working vehicle, with one rear quarter showing signs of a rough repair, and the paint has something for everyone with its multitude of colours. Personally I like it how it is, but there"s a good solid base for a respray if thats your thing.
Mechanically the truck is very good, it goes, steers, and stops as it should, and these 60"s trucks are a lot more civilised a ride than the earlier ones. The engine shows 60psi oil pressure with no obvious leaks, and starts just fine, though it could benefit from a minor tune up. Gearbox and clutch action is exceptionally good, pointing to it having been rebuilt at some point, and all the controls work smoothly. There"s 4 brand new tyres fitted, and the brakes have had a new hose and work great. The glass is all good, with some "interesting" custom additions (You"ll have to come see), and new wiper blades are fitted too.

As is often the case with trucks from the desert the wiring needs going through, though there is a new battery, but all lights etc are present and intact. The interior has had a repaint at some point, and the dash is complete. The seat either wants recovering or a blanket throwing over it, and it needs some carpet or a mat, but all simple stuff.

All in all a very solid truck, that with a couple of weekend"s work should be back in service on the street. As said, the motor is great, but this would be an ideal candidate for either a diesel or V8 conversion too, and with the full size bed theres plenty of room for all your junk! All duties are paid, and the truck is on the NOVA scheme, ready for you to register when done.
