1966 Ford Mustang GT Hardtop Coupe. Finished in original Ivy Green Metallic with a contrasting Olive Green and Ivory Pony interior and a White Vinyl roof. 3-speed manual transmission and optional 3.00:1 limited-slip differential. Other options are Power brakes, Power steering, "Magic-Air" heater, A/C (removed but supplied) two-speed wipers, Deluxe seatbelts, Tinted glass, Radio, Deluxe Pony upholstery, Pistol-grip door handles, and most importantly the Rally-Pac. New Classic Chrome Mustang wheels and set of Cooper Cobra tyres complete the picture.<br />

Built at the Ford factory at Metuchen, New Jersey on 11th May 1966. Initially ordered with the 225bhp, 289ci, "A" Code engine. However, due to the car suffering a major engine incident earlier this year rather than re-build the old unit we had our workshop fit a new crate-replacement 300 bhp 302 V8 and clutch at a cost of 4500. Although the original unit is no longer fitted the new 302 is a direct Ford replacement and looks the same with the added benefit of it being new and therefore substantially more reliable and able to produce its specified performance. However, should the new owner wish to re-build the 289 we still have it and comes with the car. We also replaced the heater matrix at the same time so is now set for use in any weather.<br />

Only imported in 2015 and given a professional repaint and so presents in excellent condition. Except for a new head-lining we have had fitted the interior is original with a lovely aged patina that looks just right for a well-cared for and well maintained 51-year-old classic. With the benefit of its new engine this GT is a pleasure to drive and with the correct care and attention is surely good for another 50 years or so?!<br />

Complete with a UK History file,copy of its original Ford Showroom window data sheet,State of Connecticut Registration and Mustang Owners Club letter confirming its credentials. Comes with Mustang handbook, spare wheel and cover, tools and boot mat. Will be supplied with a fresh 12 months MOT and 6-months UK-wide warranty. <br />
