This outstanding example of the Ford Mustang was ordered by Betty Hunt of San Marcos California on the 10th June 1967 at her local Ford Dealership Homer Helber Incorporated. Their showroom was at 440 Grana, Escondido, Southern California. This area is relatively close to San Diego.
Betty ordered the car in Burnt Amber paint with the parchment standard bucket seats. She also ticked many of the upgrade packages namely;
As can be seen from the photographs, there is a Marti Autoworks original door data plate information Report, which is a Ford Licensed Product. This report shows what specification the car was ordered in. As you can see although this car has been restored, it has been kept to the fabulous original specification. Please note we have the original handbook for the car and the Ford a guide for good drivers guidebook. There are also several folders with invoices for work carried out.
We had a call from David Lattimer he told us he had a rock solid 1967 Mustang which had been maintained in the original specification by his father Chuck for some twenty years after he had bought it from the daughter of the original owner from California. The Lattimers had been long-time residents of Arizona, therefore the car has only known the driest of climates. The Mustang had been one of his fathers cars who was a self-confirmed Mustang nut and had a fabulous collection of them. On his fathers passing David had kept this Mustang for some time in honour of his Father whilst the others had been sold. This was mainly due to all the great memories they had shared in this car. This Mustang had been his Fathers pride and joy as he described it and he had constantly invested in looking after it in every way. A recent complete overhaul of the A/C system and extensive top end engine work including upgraded camshaft, dual Flow Master Exhausts are confirmed by the extensive history file. David had finally decided to let the Mustang go as he had the opportunity to purchase an outstanding 66 Mustang convertible which in his climate and a young family was the preferred option.
The car has gone through our Mustang workshop and it has been found to be totally solid throughout the chassis and frame. We have upgraded the stereo to modern standards and a new wood rimmed Shelby style wheel has enhanced its cockpit appeal. The car is an absolute pleasure to drive, with a responsive engine, smooth gearbox and all of the Factory options. If you are looking for an original spec car which certainly turns heads, then this may be the one for you. A certain possible show winner as it has already won on the other side of the pond on several occasions.
