This beautiful Mustang was built in Ford San Jose plant in Northern California in late 67 early 68. It was destined for Phoenix Arizona but due to the prolific sales in California, it was sent there for registration instead. In February 1968 the car left the showroom in California and has remained a Black Plate Californian since new. Which means it has resided in the Californian warmth all its life. The is apparently obvious when studying the overall condition of this car. The body is incredibly straight, and the chassis/frame is as solid as the day it left the Factory in 68!
From new, the first owner ordered the optional 195hp 289 V8. This is still with the car having been rebuilt when restored. The gorgeous V8 burble that this engine makes can be heard through the upgraded twin flow- master Exhausts. With all the other extras it has fitted including Power Disc Front Brakes, the overhauled Power steering and along with the super smooth Automatic Transmission make this Mustang a joy to drive. New American Torq Thurst alloys have been fitted along with a new set BF Goodrich Billboard Lettering tyres which keeps the car in period. Twin door mirrors and twin bonnet signals were also fitted from new, which is a fun feature when you re turning the lights flash on the bonnet!
We purchased the car from Jason Zuccaro from his large house in a very upmarket neighbourhood in Irvine South California near Laguna Beach. He is very much a car guy and his collection included some very fast modern supercars. His only reason for selling the Mustang is that he had run out of room and the insurance company wouldn t insure his supercar collection if they were left outside rather than the Mustang. So we were lucky enough to purchase this car directly from the last owner.
Jason had also fitted an Aluminium Radiator along with Aluminium Valve Cover and air intake which does give the car that show appeal under the bonnet. Also when the interior was fully restored the headlining down to the carpets were all replaced with new, whilst still keeping the original colour interior throughout.
The car is now registered by ourselves for the U.K and all Taxes have been paid. So it is ready for its first UK owner.
