This is my 1968 Fastback Ford Fairlane Torino that I have owned and restored over about the last 6 years.
It is in super condition and is a best of class show winner and has been in several magazines including a covershoot. It is running a 302 Windsor and C4 Transmission, I completed the restoration on it three years ago and have regularly driven it since covering around 5000 miles , it is not a trailer queen as I think cars should be driven so does now have the odd mark and minor blemish but I do look after it very well and it gets whatever it needs. During restoration it had the rot cut out and replaced with new metal and had a full bare metal respray. It has had almost every item on the car either restored or replaced and I have a binder full of paperwork including a deluxe Marti report, Original 1968 build sheet and owners manual (with the dealers writing on the inside) that came with the car. Invoices fully documenting all work and every item replaced, in all well over 12,000 and that s just the value of the parts not mostly labour cost like most restorations.
I will list a summary of the major things below but to fully appreciate what has been done you would really need to view the car and documents.
All rust replaced with new metal
Bare metal Respray
Rebuilt engine by Huddart engines, with holley 600vacsec carb, weiand stealth intake, long tube headers going to straight through pipes with moroso spiralflow silencers, HEI electronic ignition system. (HEI not shown on pic as fitted since picture taken).
Trans serviced and flushed and a B&M shift kit fitted
Aluminium radiator and electric fan.
High torque starter motor and heavy duty varta battery
Rear axle serviced
Brake system rebuilt with new pads, master and slave cylinders and all solid and flexi lines replaced.
Complete underside of car steam cleaned and then painted with epoxy paint and then dinitrol underseal on inside of wheel arches.
Engine bay bare metal respray
All engine bay components refurbed or replaced.
Upgraded H4 headlights
Replaced windscreen
Sony stereo with 6 channel amplifier with hidden speakers and sub-woofer so it still looks standard.
Door cards, rear quarter interior and parcel shelf all reupholstered
Boot had any rust cut out and replaced then steam cleaned, painted with epoxy paint and fabric lined and a factory look bootliner added.
All steering linkages replaced or refurbed, power steering control valve rebuilt.
All front suspension components including springs, shocks, wishbones, bushes and tie rods replaced.
American outlaw 2 wheels with cooper cobra tyres.

There are other things, these are just the things I can remember but has basically been more or less fully rebuilt.
Viewing and inspection is really recommended to appreciate the true extent of the work done. There are not many 60 s muscle cars (especially fastbacks) left now that have had this level of rebuild that are not double or treble the price of this car, just look at the price of an equivalent fastback mustang!
This car attracts attention wherever it goes because there are not many in this country and people are always asking what it is but unlike most rare and uncommon cars it is easy and cheap to get parts for because most of the running gear is shared with the mustang. So why pay double for a mustang of the same quality and be parked next to all the other mustangs at the next car show, come have a look at this one and appreciate how nice it really is. Feel free to ask any questions and I will answer as soon as possible.
