Here for sale is a California imported 1969 GMC C1500 longbed pick up. <br />
It"s pretty much the same as a Chevy C10 ,1967-1972 yr<br />
<br />
It"s a very solid truck that only requires the drivers side floor and rocker repairing (parts supplied).<br />
It is a factory V8 with HEI distributor and MSD leads with a 3 speed auto and factory power steering.<br />
The engine has had a few new parts recently fitted including fuel pump, Edelbrock carb, fan and viscous coupling, top rad hose and starter motor.<br />
<br />
The chassis, underneath and rest of the truck is very solid and the only repairs are the ones mentioned above.<br />

All the electrics work, including the wipers (unusual for southern California!)<br />
<br />
I have spent over 500 on new parts from LMC Truck and Rockauto which consist of:<br />
Both front floor pans<br />
Drivers rocker panel<br />
New carpet<br />
New seat vinyl cover<br />
New dash pad<br />
New sill plates<br />
New door weather strips<br />
New rear lamp lenses and gaskets<br />
New drivers side window regulator and 2 winder handles<br />
4x headlamp retainer rings<br />
New complete pedal rubber set<br />
4x Secondhand deep dish rallye steels<br />

All taxes and duties are paid and it is on the NOVA system and I have the California title and bill of sale.<br />

Please bear in mind, you won"t be able to jump in this truck and drive home, it is not MOT"d or registered.<br />
It won"t take too long or much to put this through an MOT (I"m not going to say it"s only a weekends worth of work as I have no idea how you spend your time, but it isn"t a frame off/body off/running gear out resto horror story).<br />

I have had it up on my ramp and had a good look over it, I have gone through the brakes and suspension and everything is in very good condition (I can supply pics if required).<br />
From what I can see, apart from the welding, it will need a rear brake flexi as it"s split (I have now ordered a new flexi pipe from the States and it should be here by the 8th Sept and will be fitted to the truck), a tune up and service, a washer bottle for the MOT and UK spec headlights (the inner ones that are missing are the full beam lights and all are available on ebay. They will all need replacing to UK spec anyway). Apart from those bits and a bit of personal tinkering, it"s not a drastic list of what is needed.<br />

This is ideal for someone who wants a project and likes to play around with their vehicles.<br />

Grab a bargain now before I get bored and start doing all the bits to it and put an MOT on it, then advertise it for a lot more.<br />
I have fitted the wheels, rear lights and window regulator so far......<br />
When I unbolted the seat and took it out of the truck to assess the floor and rocker, it still had the factory build sheet tucked in the back!<br />

If you do like the truck, but don"t want to get your hands dirty, I am willing to do all the bits and MOT it for a fixed price.<br />
I restore cars for a living, so I know what to do.<br />

I have put this up for a sensible price and I m not asking the earth (check out how much these trucks are going for in the States and then factor in the shipping and duty etc.).<br />
