We imported this truck from Texas. It was solid and apart from some surface rust was corrosion free. We stripped the truck down to the bare chassis, from there we carried out a body off full nuts and bolts restoration.<br />
The chassis is solid and undamaged, it was cleaned off and treated with hard coat enamel.<br />

The rebuild then started from the chassis up, with new suspension mountings and bushes, adjustable air suspension was fitted to the rear. New brake pipes and full overhaul of the braking system including master cylinder and new servo unit.New Kingpins and bushes were fitted.<br />
<br />
Deep dish chrome wheels were then fitted with a brand new set of tyres with new chrome nuts. The truck has an overhauled 5.9 litre V8 engine with a three forward speed plus reverse gearbox. The column gange was removed and a floor change was fitted. the engine is a ready starter and pulls like a train, it is really sweet and sounds awsome as we fitted separate side exhausts on each side with chrome pipes. The gearbox is smooth and easy changing and quiet.<br />

The body was stripped and carefully prepared, it was then subject to a very expensive repaint with 5 coats of colour and Gold metal flake that glints in the Sunshine. Then 5 coats of lacquer were applied.<br />

A complete new dashboard and switches were fitted with new period steering wheel complete with period chrome horn ring connected to musical air horns.<br />

The whole interior was retrimmed at great expense, with new headlining and carpets. the seat was rebuilt and finished in light cream faux leather with red piping. New lights were fitted, with LED supplementary headlights fitted in the grille and halo LED headlights. A new Chrome bumper was fitted and new polished tailgate fasteners.<br />

The truck bed was rebuilt from scratch with solid OAK. A period radio with new internals and MP3 input was fitted. To finish off RED inertia seatbelts were specially made and fitted. New glass and seals have been fitted<br />

So much work has been carried out that I am sure that I must have missed something. In summary the truck has been completely stripped an rebuilt to a very high standard. A lot of money has been spent on the truck and the rebuild has been a passionate labour of love by enthusiasts and all work has been professionally carried out. The only reason that I am selling is that we have another truck restoration under way and I need the space. This truck has been shwon at several shows with fantastic response, it is a real head turner and a fantastic truck to drive.<br />
