1971 Ford Torino 500. Personally I think this is far better looking than the Torino everyone knows but then I would be biased!
Interior

Black vinyl seats in very good condition, tidy and well sprung. Good carpet and headlining. Non-smokers car. Crack on dash around the binnacle. Has a modern vintage radio that works on our frequency and plays MP3 s via USB. Uses the original knobs. Really good sound with upgraded speakers. Original AM radio is included. Interior lights work, windows wind down, seats lock into place, dash lights up etc. Has an after market rev counter. Overall a nice place to be.
Exterior
No rust! This car is incredibly clean underneath with original floors and boot. Undersealed on arrival. The chrome is in fair condition for its age. Its" had some paint in the past. It s a clean presentable car but not showroom perfect. This will look fantastic outside the house and down the pub. It won t win a concourse trophy if that s your thing. There s a few chips and shade variations and its faded from the Texas sun. I ve tidied it up and would rate the paint 6/10. You could go further, perhaps 8/10, without stretching to a respray.
Engine & Mechanicals

351 Cleveland V8 with 4 barrel carb (recently refurbished). The 4B is an upgrade as the 500 originally had a 2B. Runs well and holds all its fluids. Same engine as Mustang so no trouble with parts. Its done 50,000 miles which is believed to be correct. Ford C6 transmission shifts well with good kick down. I m told the car produces around 300hp. It s certainly quick enough on the windy roads of Sussex! Power front brakes, power steering and modern R134 A/C system installed. Heater matrix changed last year. A/C needs gas as it was emptied to change the matrix and we forgot to re-gas afterwards.
Other Misc Bits & Bobs

MOT until August 2016. Free road tax. I have the V5 and am the first UK owner. Three previous owners Stateside. Some history from what I ve done.

Insurance for me is 112 per year.

This is a 45 year old unrestored Ford so please bear that in mind. It is not perfect and will continue to need TLC.
Car is located near Eastbourne in East Sussex.
I personally imported this car in early 2014 from Texas where it d spent most its life. It was the closest I could get to owning my dream muscle car, a Mercury Cyclone GT. Same shape, age and shell but without all the extra bits and big block....and the 30,000 price tag! Its been a blast and I love the Torino. Other toys are calling though and I d like something I can use more often. It s a step down but I m selling to fund a first gen Toyota Celica Fastback. Yes I ll do a swap if you have one!
