1972 Ford F100 Hot Rod. Ideal for cruising, cars and coffee, surf weekends etc. Exempt from road tax it is MOT"d and will easily pass again.<br />

Selling my really nice 72 F100, this truck is a real hot rod, with a 390 cubic inch (6.4 litre) V8 and a 4 speed manual gearbox this truck is a rare find, with" all the right bits " This was the last year of the "bump side" truck, with the steel dash. It has original equipment fitted with the biggest engine available at the time. 390 ci Big Block, it has a electronic distributor and Flame Thrower coil. Its also got a Mustang/Thunderbird intake and a 4 barrel 600 vac sec Holley. The inside cab area has been Dyno matted,including roof. The fuel tank has been removed from the cab, and it uses the under floor tank. It"s had a front disc brake conversion,a power brake conversion,and a power steering conversion. it"s painted in PPG grey sealer. Truck is solid, pickup bed is good and all good underneath.It has a "fuel crisis" 1978 car 4 speed overdrive gearbox, sometimes called a RUG transmission. This gives good low rev cruising , and better fuel economy ! New Hurst Shifter which gives a nice short shift and also makes it better to drive than the old crappy three speed auto versions. Its been de trimmed , de badged, rear roll pan, body smoothed out,custom fuel filler flap. It has a Dream Beams front and rear lowering kit, twin I beams. I really can"t express how good this truck drives, I drove it back from Norwich through snow blizzards and it coped perfectly, heater works really well and It drives faultlessly , with none of the bumpy vague feeling associated with very low drops. Rides well over bumps and at speed, nothing like most of these trucks which drive horribly.. You could literally drive it to Europe and back without any issues.Below is a list of all the parts recently fitted. <br />

Dream Beams twin I beam lowering kit front and rear. Rear roll pan. Twin 2.5 inch with H pipe dual exhaust, with Flowmaster mufflers, sounds fantastic. Rev counter with shift light. Kenwood high power CD USB AUX ICE. 1978 4 speed overdrive car RUG transmission. Hurst Shifter. Aztec style seat covers. 7x17 , 8x17 staggered american racing torque thrust 2 wheels and 205/245 tyres with lock nuts. Oil and filter change. Steering wheel. Accelerator pedal. <br />

Cheap to run, good on fuel, classic car insurance, road tax and mot exempt. <br />

What needs doing;Speedo doesnt work probably needs new cable (i use my iphone app)Seat is ripped under the aztec seat coverDash top has the usual crack in it but is hidden by the coverDoor window felts and rubber seals could do with replacing. No carpets or headlining as detailed above (dynamatted), all parts are available from the states and they"re cheap, i have a catalogue which details everything you can buy.<br />

To Summarise its a great truck, drives really well, starts every time, you could drive it anywhere and it wouldnt let you down, its not mint, i guess you would call it a "rat rod" although its no wreck, its all there and solid no rot, had tons of good mods and just needs a couple of bits to make perfect maybe a retrim and headlining if you dont like it as it is. 13995 ONO<br />
