Finished in gold and cream body work with cream seats and gold carpet, this Thunderbird was from the last year of the sixth generation Big Birds , and was the last of the big block 460 engine cars to be produced. The colour combination was in fact a limited run of approx. 2000 of the 53,000 cars produced in 1976.<br />

The car was kept in a private museum in Houston, Texas from 1982 until 2009 when the complete collection was purchased by a British dealer. The car in his words was too good to be left in the States, so along with some of the other cars in collection it was shipped back to the UK.<br />
<br />
It was shown at the N E C classic car show in 2009 and was consequently purchased by the previous owner. The bodywork and interior were very good but the mechanics underwent an extensive recommission.<br />
<br />
This Thunderbird drives well, and is a sight to behold on British roads as you can imagine. If you are looking for an affordable American classic, with the iconic big block 460 7.5lt engine, this is the car for you.<br />
