The Chevrolet SSR (Super Sports Roadster) is a 2 seater hardtop convertible roadster pick up truck, manufactured by Chevrolet over a three year period between 2003 and 2006.<br />

This 2005 SSR uses the Corvette C6 6.0lt V8 engine, producing 400bhp through the rear wheels and coupled to a 6 speed Tremec manual gearbox. 0-60mph happens in 5.3 seconds and the V8 engine sounds absolutely gorgeous through the twin fat exhaust pipes. The standing quarter mile time of 14 seconds and 100 mph puts the SSR in the same league as the Honda S2000, Nissan 350Z and BMW Z4, more conventional roadsters.<br />

The all electric steel roof is designed by Karmann and retracts in approximately 15 seconds folding completely away, and the SSR here is fitted with the optional SSR windbreak, Bose sound system, on board computer, air con and heated electric seats.<br />
