This week"s Drag Race video features a quarter mile shootout between a 2016 Chevrolet Camaro SS and what looks to be a 2005-2009 Ford Mustang GT. The Mustang is very loud, so I suspect that it is not stock, but it doesn"t make a world of difference as the Camaro has this race in the bag from the start. When the race first begins, the 2016 Camaro SS quickly hops away from the line with the big hole-shot advantage while the Mustang driver sleeps at the line; then bogs the car through first gear. This is enough for the new Camaro to get out to a sizeable advantage and while we can"t see the big boards on the top end, the cameraman announces that the 2016 SS runs a 12.6 at 114 miles per hour. The boards reset before he could read off the Mustang numbers, but this video still serves as a great example of what the new Camaro will do on the quarter mileTags: 6th Gen Camaro, camaro, drag race monday
