Yes they did. They have shared the LSx platform for years and the current model has the 6.2L LS2.
This also means the end of their involvement in the Australian Supercar racing series so this year might be the end of the line for my interest in that too.
Bit like when F1 went V6. They sound so shit, and 1/2 the enjoyment for me is the soundtrack. I stopped watching after the first race of that season.
Long live the V8!

I saw Formula E class on TV the other day, sounded like a swarm of bumble bee's. Really can't substitute a V8 rumble. Hearing a V8 on full chat does sound lovely, like the '78/79 TA blatting it around the track at Brands Hatch, that sounded awesome.
 
Would be fun to stand near the pits at a formula E race with a remote control car handset and pretend your controlling one of the cars - bet it would generate a lot of laughs!!
