Dodge has been very strict about where it puts the 707bhp, 6.2-litre supercharged V8 that powers its Hellcat models. Only the Challenger muscle car and Charger supersaloon are factory-fitted with its mightiest powerplant. It was never going to last.Midland Chrysler, a dealer near Ontaria, Canada has revealed this Ram 1500 truck fitted with the infamous Hellcat V8, together with the truck"s standard eight-speed automatic gearbox and all-wheel drive system. Apparently, the engine was bought from a US-based Dodge dealer; it"s not available as a crate engine, because Dodge wanted to avoid these sort of engine swapping japes. Well, that went well.Quite what performance this Hell-Ram-Cat can achieve we"re not sure, but it does appear to be a fairly neat and tidy conversion, which really begs the question: what would you install a Hellcat engine into, given the chance, and the estimated $90,000 it"s cost to convert this reasonably unassuming pick-up?Share this page: FacebookTwitterGoogle+WhatsAppMailtoCopy link
