Panic not. This picture of Alpine"s factory workforce pictured grinning alongside the final A110 Premiere Edition does not mean that the fabulous diminutive sports car has been shunted out of production. Far from it. The only bad news here is that if you"ve been saving up for one of the optioned-up first editions, you"re too late. They"re all reserved, and all built. No, Alpine will now switch to making the A110 in two versions: the entry-level A110 Pure and the more kitted-out Legende. The Premiere Edition, which got the forged wheels, quilted leather Sabelt bucket seats, a sports exhaust and metallic blue paint thrown in as standard, cost 51,805. You even got a reversing camera. Fancy. Now, the entry price drops down to 46,905, for the A110 Pure. It gets 17-inch wheels, sat-nav, air-conditioning, and the same 1.8-litre turbo engine with 247bhp.
