We"re not here to get bogged down in the originality of this particular 1961 Ferrari 250GT SWB Breadvan". There aren"t enough pixels in the internet to thrash out the classic racing car provenance debate right now. Besides, it"s Friday. We"re here to bask in the majesty of a naturally aspirated 3.0-litre V12 signing it"s carburettors off, as the gods intended. This on-board footage comes from the Goodwood Member"s Meeting from earlier in 2018. Brrr, it was a cold winter in Blighty. As you can see here, from the settled snow on the grassy banks of the terrifyingly fast Goodwood circuit. Very much not t-shirt weather, this one. Nor are these the conditions you"d choose for wringing out a very rare, fast and expensive racing car on a racetrack festooned with other rare, fast and expensive racing cars. Fortunately, we"re borne along by the safe hands of five-time Le Mans winner Emanuele Pirro. Enjoy his gearchanges and fevered steering inputs, but mostly, bask in that spectacular noise.Share this page: FacebookTwitterGoogle+WhatsAppMailtoCopy link
