HBM has introducedthree new amplifier modules for its SomatXR data acquisition system. The SomatXRMX1615B-R amplifier has16 individually configurable inputs for potentiometric sensors, PT 100temperature sensors, or strain gauges in full-, half-, or quarter-bridgeconfigurations. Additionally, it can measure resistance and voltage up to 60 V. SomatXRMX1601B-R amplifierprovides inputs for measuring standardized voltage ( 60 V, 10 V, or 100 mV),standardized current (0-20 mA or 4-20 mA), and IEPE/ICP sensors on 16individually configurable channels. According to HBM, every channel iselectrically isolated and has a 24-bit delta-sigma A/D converter. Sample ratesare as high as 19,200 samples/s per channel, and the analog bandwidth is 3 kHz. The SomatXRMX1609KB-R amplifierprovides 16 individually configurable thermocouple channels with fullisolation. With an IP65/IP67 rating, thenew amplifier modules are especially suitable for measurements under very harshoperating conditions out in the field.
