Was very hot last year, good job we had the gazebo for shelter. It was a brilliant turn out. Fingers crossed for another good one.

Are you guys still planning on meeting at Rownhams for this?
If you are, I’m hoping to join you. After a year of being broken, I’ve finally had my Mustang repaired (transmission rebuild) and managed to get it running. This will be it’s first outing out for a day trip in ‘flipping’ ages.

So who’s coming and what are you bringing to the convoy!?

Think some are camping but there normally is a crowd of V8 hooligans that meet up there:biggrin1: around the 8 to 8.30 mark but hopefully Dan will be along soon to confirm this or some other V8 hooligan can confirm meeting time.

I probably only got around half the cars, soo much there, and little time with setting up, and walking around with the judges. Loads of people there and loads of cars, will be interesting to see the numbers which I will get from Beaulieu and results from previous years. They said its the best year so far.

Thanks Darren for helping out the Capri. The Capri was coming on a trailer, but as he was getting on the road navigating some tight turns near his house one of the wheels failed, so had to get home. He still wanted to get the Capri to Beaulieu but only had 2 seats, it is road legal. It was Tony, his wife and kid that were going. so Darren came to the rescue and picked up tony's wife to take to Beaulieu. Thanks ever so much for doing that Darren much appreciated.

This is the Capri

1500hp Twin turbo 9 litre Capri, that was at the pod a couple of weekends ago, running some great run, with the highest terminal speed that weekend. He almost made it into the 9's but traction an issue.

The Art of Kustom launched at Beaulieu’s biggest and best hot rod & custom event | Beaulieu, New Fores

As many as 5,077 event-goers (up from 4,091 last year) revelled in the festival atmosphere of the Hot Rod & Custom Drive-In Day, with more dressed up in retro 1950s-style clothing than ever. The number of hot rods, custom cars and bikes was up by 31 per cent from last year, from 499 to 655.

Wow what an increase in numbers. We thought it was busier than last year, no we know why, with an extra 1000 people there.
