Audi has revealed its new A4 allroad at the Detroit Motor Show, along with a specsheet which shows plenty of evolution from the previous incarnation.34mm of extra ground clearance sit chiefly among Audi"s boasts for this latest version, which depending on the model is as much as 90kg lighter as a result of some clever weight shedding across all areas of the car. This is despite the body growing in size, now just 250mm shy of being a whopping 5 metres long. Then there are the engines. Available as either a diesel or a petrol, the A4 allroad quattro will chuck out anything between 148bhp and 268bhp across the range of power units. At the top end, the 3.0-litre six-cylinder petrol is capable of producing 442.5lb ft of torque and a 0-60mph time of five and a half seconds, while the top speed is limited to a not insignificant 155mph. More than enough for your local Autobahn. At the bottom of the spectrum lies the 148bhp 2.0-litre diesel, which offers 236lb ft in comparison.
