You are looking at this very rare beautiful Mercedes /8 sedan.

Unlike most of the very few of these that come up for sale, this one is not a barn find or a fresh import. Its a functioning running driving car, regularly driven, its uk registered and MOTd and you can get in it and drive it away today.

It seems from what i know so far its an early pre-facelift model, apparently one of the very last of the 69 production run. It has all the gorgeous chrome, "D ring" chrome steering wheel and everything else later /8 models did not get. Add to that the optional extras (quad chrome mirrors, electric windows, super rare dealer option alloys) and its one pretty /8!!

It has an awesome history and all the patina and little features to go with it. By the looks of it it started life in the us, then moved to canada and Japan before ending up in the UK. It has cool little keep-sakes from its former home countries. Window stickers, service stickers and even its Japanese foreign import ID plate, and even has number plate bezels from the US! Its little things like that along with its gorgeous patinad blue paint that you just cant fake, and what sets it apart from fresh imports and fresh restos.

Its got the famous "million mile engine", the OM615 diesel, which is one of the best engines in the history of mankind, and with its mere 100k on the clock its just barely run in!
It even still has its original Mercedes radio, which works and has been modified to work with a modern device like a iphone etc.

It has a few really useful upgrades. LED headlights and fog lights (so you can actually see! LED headlights are expensive but work great by the way!), electric windscreen washer (still operated with the extra foot pedal), modern plastic fuel plumbing that doesnt rust, and of course stainless twin exhaust pipes! At some point it seems to have got euro-spec lights too, which is a good thing, us spec lights are uglier.

Mechanically its in decent condition, it starts drives and stops as it should. I drive it a lot. Its serviced regularly using high quality parts.

While having plenty of little defects youd expect from an un-restored almost 50 year old car (stone chips, interior wear etc) its generally very usable. There are no holes in the floor and its a nice solid car.

Unfortunately i found another car i really like and cant keep them all. So here is a bery rare chance to grab something like this.
