Unless you"ve been living under a rock, or have the emotional capability of one, you"ve probably shed a tear at Billy Monger"s story over the last couple of years. Well, it"s time to reach for that handkerchief again, because the young Brit has won his first race since having both of his legs amputated after a Formula 4 crash in 2017. Monger took the top spot on the podium at the Pau Grand Prix the second round of the Euroformula Open Championship in his specially adapted Carlin Formula 3 car. This wasn"t any old win either. Monger, who had qualified in 11th place, ducked into the pits at the end of the warm-up lap to switch from slicks to wet tyres.
