Bins not collected, but why?

Well on Tuesday I put out the black bin first thing in the morning, the collection is usually after 9am. When I returned from work, the bin had not been emptied. No big deal, perhaps they were on strike like the train drivers. So got the bin in.

Went on the Havant borough councils website to see if there was service updates, perhaps they moved the collection day. There was nothing on their website. They did have a feedback form if you bin was misses, but it appears the whole road was missed.

When Sarah got in, she also found nothing on their website, but found them on blooming Facetube, they announced they had a vehicle breakdown, and would do collection early Wednesday. So no issues, as put the bin back out.

However what is really annoying is why do soo many people rely on the most annoying issue of communication ever invented (facebook). Why do the council have a website where they don't update it with current information. Facebook its just a kids toy for posting unorganized information. What is the world coming to? ....

WELL said, not everyone is on facebook surely cant they see they are missing out on comunicating with other people and loosing bussiness
what happened to advertising on bill boards or local/national newspaer evryone today is to relatant on facetube computers so when theres is a power cut or system goes down they are totally lost.

i understand your frustrations ....something on a similar thread..... I put my recycling bin out one morning heard the truck doing the rounds then a little later went out to get the bin only to find a red label on it and contents still inside..label stated " item found not recycleble " the item was a 5" by 2" piece of compressed sawdust packing reinforced from a large cardboard box . they had gone through the contents of the bin to find it. its reassuring that they have the time to do this !! more than my jobs worth comes to mind ?
