It"s 30 years since the E30 BMW M3 was released, so to mark the occasion, BMW has given the current M3 a bit of a makeover. Mainly by painting it a special colour and throwing a load of kit at it.First thing you notice is that colour it"s called Frozen Silver, and it"s the exact same matte-effect hue as TG"s very own M3 longtermer. Then there are the massive 20in alloys, which are part of the Competition Pack that also gives you an extra 19bhp (for a total of 444) and makes changes to the suspension, differential and stability systems. We"ve driven it, and it"s a massive improvement on the regular car.BMW says you won"t be able to get a regular, Frozen Silver M3 anymore, which is a start, and there are plenty of "30 Jahre" badges scattered about the place to differentiate it from the regular M3. The exterior and interior are bedecked with carbon trim, and the seats benefit from BMW"s finest Merino leather here in black with blue inserts and embroidered logos aplenty. Plus, there"s a massive amount of kit you"d normally have to pay extra for adaptive LED headlights, a fancy stereo and much besides. All 30 Jahres come with the DCT box.
