Borascope

Just bought a borascope.
For those that don't know, this is a camera on the end of a cable surrounded by LED's. It's great for seeing into difficult places . You just position the camera where you want to see and view the image on your smartphone screen. You can even snap stills. Perfect for those hard to reach places or perhaps seeing inside the combustion chamber....
The camera is wireless so doesn't have a direct connection to the phone and works with both Android and iOS.
And best of all...... under a tenner off eBay! A really useful addition to the toolbox.

Bargain, a very useful tool.

My mechanic friend was showing me his when i was having trouble locating the clutch pipe into the slave cylinder. With the camera you could see right down the barrel of the slave cylinder. Very useful, a handy tool to have.

I have a job that it can assist with at the weekend, so both it and the ramps get used.
Having the right tools makes jobs so much easier

Link and pictures you know the rules ......

What did you use it for? Any photos?

Most vehicles have a flow restrictor somewhere in the hydraulic Clutch line. The GM vehicles use a smaller diameter bore in the line whilst BMW and Dodge use physical restriction that can be removed. Dunno about the Mustangs but they definitely have it.
GM folk have to drill out the line to remove the restrictions.
The restrictions are there To slow Clutch engagement and not shock the driveline but let's face it, most European drivers don't need the assistance (or perhaps I'm being overly charitable!).
I removed the restrictions from the line on the Challenger and love the improved feel and responsiveness of the clutch.
I used the Borascope to check I had got both pieces of the restrictor out as I never found one of them!
So this is the inside of the hydraulic line going to the slave.
