After months of anticipation the 261mph, 1479bhp Bugatti Chiron has at last been unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show. And by the hammer of Thor, it"s fast.Fitted with an 8.0-litre W16 and capable of delivering 1,180lb ft of torque, the new model is a belting upgrade in the numbers department compared to its predecessor, the Veyron.When Bugatti removes the limiter for its maximum speed record attempt, the Chiron is expected to surpass the 270mph barrier which only a handful of road-going vehicles can claim to get close to.And with the throttle pressed fully to the floor, it will drain the 22 gallon fuel tank in around nine minutes. In Top Gear maths, that means it could probably burn through 100 of super unleaded faster than you can literally burn that amount of money in cash.It"s not an experiment we recommend you try at home.Be that as it may, the Chiron doesn"t just have its ancestor to contend with. Bugatti says the average buyer will already own "64 cars, three jets, three helicopters, and a yacht", which puts the financial threshold for potential customers, um, rather high.And if the well-to-do of this world are after top-end performance, then there are other hypercars to consider. The LaFerrari, the McLaren P1 and Porsche 918 spring to mind.And then there"s the Koenigsegg Regera, unveiled on Tuesday with a scarcely believable 1,500bhp. Oh, and a little thing called the Venom GT, which for 2016, now comes with 1,451bhp. So how do the stats compare?
