This 2017 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 owner knows that the line lock system is intended to help the supercharged muscle car do epic burnouts and that is exactly what he does in the video below. The 2017 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 is powered by a supercharged LT4 which delivers 650 horsepower and 650lb-ft of torque to the rear wheels, which is more than enough power to put a serious beating to the rear tires. While the ZL1 is designed and engineered to be a traction monster at the track, it is a very capable burnout machine simply by using the brake pedal, but to make epic burnouts even easier GM included factory line lock on the 2017 Camaro ZL1.This system works by locking the fluid in the lines running to the front brakes (hence the name), so the driver doesn"t need to hold the brake pedal down while doing a burnout. In the case of the 2017 Camaro ZL1 with the manual transmission, line lock makes it much easier for the driver to work the clutch and throttle while the system keeps the front brakes locked. In the video below, we get to watch from two different angles one behind the new Camaro ZL1 and one on the passenger side of the car as the supercharged Chevy muscle car lays down an absolutely epic burnout. The video switches from one camera to the other, giving us a great look as the clouds of tire smoke quickly engulf the car. After about 40 seconds, the action ends and the next 35 seconds are spent watching the smoke wander into the trees. The roar of the LT4 V8 is a big part of the excitement in this video of a 2017 Camaro ZL1 doing a burnout so crank up your speakers and enjoy!
