This week"s Burnout Friday video features a wicked 1st gen Camaro wheelstander getting a little crazy on the drag strip and by "getting a little crazy", I mean that he does the first burnout, crashes at the end, backs the car up, does another burnout followed by a wheelstand run, then he makes one final attempt to get down the track with a mattress strapped to the roof.Seriously.The video begins by showing this gorgeous 1st gen Camaro drag car idling and creeping around the garage area, along with a short interview with the driver. We then see the Camaro pull into the box and commence with a very smokey burnout, but as the car heads down track with the tires ablaze, the back end comes around and the car hits the wall hard enough to do major damage to the front of the car.Fortunately, the owner doesn"t seem to care, as the crew pushes the blown Chevy away from the wall and back to the burnout box, where he does another burnout. He then puts the Camaro on its back bumper as he roars down the track, stopping at the end to let the nose down before heading back up the track to show off the front end damage. Then, the owner straps an old mattress to the roof of his supercharged Camaro with the hopes that the added weight will cause his wheelstander to flip over backwards. However, during the burnout with the mattress on the roof, the engine blows, sparing this Camaro from the fate of being flipped on its lid.It sounds crazy, but it is all caught on film, so crank up your speakers and enjoy!
