This video features a 2003 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 doing a burnout in what appears to be a parking garage or an underpass of some sort. Based on the brief description, we know that this C5 Corvette Z06 is stock with the exception of a cold air intake, so it likely has somewhere in the area of the stock 405 horsepower and 400lb-ft of torque.Fortunately, when paired with the C5 Corvette Z06"s standard manual transmission, the LS6 engine under the hood is capable of some serious tire slaying which is well displayed in the video below. The video begins with the C5 Corvette Z06 lurching forward a bit as the driver drops the clutch. The tires instantly spin hard, although very little (read: no) smoke comes from the tires. The video then flashes ahead further in the burnout. At this point, tire smoke is pouring out from under the C5Z. The driver feathers the throttle of this Corvette to keep the RPMs at an ideal point for the tires to continue smoking for about 10 seconds, at which point he lets off of the brake and the Z06 speeds off into the distance tires smoking all of the way. In addition to presenting one impressive little burnout, this 2003 Z06 sounds incredible while doing it and when it races away from the camera all of which is magnified by the proximity to the overpass or building in which this burnout takes place. Before watching this video, make sure to have your speakers cranked up for the full effect and enjoy!Tags: Burnout Fridays, C5, C5 Corvette, Z06
