This is no ordinary Renault 5 Turbo. It"s actually a Turbo 2 Evolution Type 8221", which means it"s one of 200 built to homologate the Group B Maxi 5 Turbo in the mid-eighties. These cars had aluminium roofs, alloy doors and uprated engines, giving something like 175bhp. This one"s looking a bit tatty, hence its 25,000 - 30,000 estimate, but could be worth as much as 130,000 restored. Showing two owners from new and accompanied by a healthy-looking history file, surely it"s worth lavishing a bit of care and attention on?
