This video of a Cadillac CTS-V storming down the quarter mile was shared by the YouTube channel of Jmalcom2004. While it looks like your average luxury sedan with a drag tire setup, it leaves the line like a pro stock car, pulling the front wheels off of the ground as it rockets down the track. One Badass CaddyUnfortunately, there are on details accompanying this video, but this is one beautiful, badass Cadillac CTS-V. This car is from the generation of the V-Series that relied on the supercharged LSA V8, so it seems likely that this big Caddy has more than a little work done under the hood. However, it looks like a clean, stock CTS-V around the outside, with the exception of the big rear wheel and tire setup. The combination of big power and those sticky rear tires is what makes this video so impressive.Wheels Up LaunchingDuring the course of this video, we get to watch this bright blue Cadillac CTS-V make a handful of runs, but we will tell you now that we don"t get to see any times for these runs. The big boards are blank, there is no look at the time slips and there are no numbers in video details. As a result, we don"t have any idea what this Caddy runs but we know that it is fast. After a big smoky burnout, the Cadillac stages and launches, but when something goes awry, the driver lifts, stops and backs up to the starting line for another shot. That second shot pays off, with a great launch and a sweet-sounding run.The following runs all go smoothly on the first try, with the luxury sedan leaving the line so hard that the front wheels appear to hop off of the ground.Crank up your speakers and enjoy!Join the LS1tech forums today!Tags: Cadillac, CTS-V, Drag Racing, LSA, Video
