We purchased this stunning Cadillac just over a year ago from Oldcott Motors in Stoke, a well known American car dealer with a great reputation we are only now offering it for sale due to having imported another car from the States ourselves.<br />

The Caddy (or Ella as she is affectionately known Ella Deville ) is quite simply the most amazing car I have ever owned and attracts huge attention wherever she goes with her 18 6 of chrome adorned bodywork, huge fins and a lovely V8 burble from the 6.4 litre (390 cubic inch) beast which lives beneath her hood.<br />

Ella is a big old girl so her size may take a little getting used to. Having said that she is surprisingly easy to handle with great all round visibility, finger light power steering, barely perceptible changes from her silky smooth automatic transmission and power brakes which bring her to a halt far more quickly than you would expect from a lady weighing more than two tons.<br />

The Cadillac Deville was designed for the larger and more affluent American family and is a full six seater car with more ashtrays and cigar lighters than anyone could possibly need. Thankfully these appear unused and the interior is therefore very bright and fresh and in excellent condition other than a crack to the driver s dash top which tends to come and go with variations in temperature.<br />

Externally, Ella s chrome is in great order as is her paintwork with just the odd very minor blemish here and there. By any measure she is impressive in both size and condition and has already won a second place award since arriving in the UK three years ago.<br />

Ella passed her MOT test in March with no advisories and now has a valid certificate until April 2018. As you would expect she is tax exempt and with classic car insurance costing around 165 is a fairly inexpensive hobby after the initial purchase outlay. I am often asked how many miles she does to the gallon but if this is an area of concern then maybe a Cadillac isn t for you..!! In truth, I ve never checked her petrol consumption but I would guess 12-15 mpg or thereabouts.<br />

All documentation is in order with a V5 registration document in my name and a very full paper trail confirming the car was correctly imported and all taxation paid. There are also factory workshop manuals, the original owner s handbook, American title deed and a large assortment of spare parts in the cavernous boot space (or trunk as the Americans might say). The spare wheel is in good condition and correctly stowed as is the jack and wheel brace. Also still present is a cardboard label on the underside of the boot lid providing instruction on how to use the jack correctly..!!<br />

As you would expect the car is fully loaded with front and rear electric windows, six way electric front seat (which is a little temperamental), factory fitted radio with electric aerial, air conditioning (which I have never quite mastered) and a parking brake which releases automatically when drive or reverse are selected.<br />

The car has no known mechanical issues other than a minor drip from the automatic transmission which never needs topping up but does leave a few stains on the drive so a drip tray is the order of the day if you re worried about your block paving..!! <br />

Also included in the sale is a full size, weather proof, fleece lined fitted cover which provides excellent all year round outdoor protection (unless of course you re fortunate enough to have a garage big enough..!!)<br />

The car is ideal for special occasions - as you ll see from the photos it was recently used for a friend s wedding and would doubtless be suitable for proms, photo shoots, advertising, promotional work etc. It is now available for viewing by appointment in the Wolverhampton area of the West Midlands although test drives will only be offered to those with relevant insurance cover.<br />
